Sorry, probably not helping. As a marketing guy (who knows how to code) I can say with absolute certainty that it’s not the answer.

I did an AutoX last weekend. It was fun but I’m not sure it’s going to be a regular thing for me. Track days are way more fun. Having said that, SpeedSF doesn’t allow fenderless cars. Boo.

We need an exhaustive list of things that car people can still do in the p(l) andemic. Also an action group in case someone tries to make the whole “you don’t need to go anywhere so let’s just ban cars while we’re at it ” argument. Damnit, probably not helping again.

Fun fact: every phone interview that I’ve nailed (4 at least), the position ends up being cancelled 2-4 weeks later

That sounds like a bad-faith read of some more specific policies/suggestions, man. The big parties typically have more nuance than that, even for things I disagree vehemently with . Honestly, that sounds exactly like 4chan/Barstool dorks who think they’re sO cLeVeR whenever there’s journalism layoffs. I think there’s two brain cells in use among the lot and both break when they try to think of anything new to say.

Honestly, stuff you can do alone/distanced/outside is still fine. Just don’t be stupid. I did a rallycross earlier this month—stood further from folks, wore a mask, didn’t share a car. I don’t think I’d do a track day with an instructor, but I definitely hopped onto Harris Hill for some solo laps the other day. There’s road trips, which are way safer than hopping onto a big dumb flying germ-tube in a game of Seat Roulette. Camping out is still good if you’re in a more temperate climate. Honestly, the car is the perfect pandemic sanity tool: away from other people, and gets you out of the house in your own lil’ bubble.

Just don’t get out of the car to lick any toilet seats, but go have some damn fun.

Please for the love of Puffalumps, somewhere friggin’ hire me. Everywhere I was talking to about jobs put hiring on hold with this garbage, which is why I get so angry when covidiots completely ignore what scientists recommend and just exacerbate the problem, thus dragging this out longer and longer. That’s what I want. Regular pay, more pay, insurance that isn’t total garbage.

Anything else is really contingent upon that.

The basic idea was what those HotWheels down hill racing videos are now but 3-4 years prior to their success with the concept. Pi cs were taken once some calm came to my life in the last couple of years and ready to get started but it didn't go much from there. At the moment, I've been trying to confirm return addresses but even that is whenever the moment arrives

Oh goodness. That’s a hard one. I’m a big fan of driving dynamics and overall charm, so maybe:

1. 997.1 Porsche 911 GT3 RS - I love parsh so much.

2. Zündapp Janus - It’s a mid-engine microcar with a door on the front and a door on the back. The rear seats face backwards. It drives far better than it should. I’m in love with everything about it.

3. I really did like that Toyota 86 we raced for this website a few years back with all the TMG kit: https://jalopnik.com/if-you-really-love-a-road-car-you-must-drive-the-race-1825537689 - It just felt like the right car at the right time. Handled great, with just enough power to be fun.

That’s a tough one. I have Carolina Reaper puree in the cupboard that’s come in handy for bland things. Probably some kind of Nuclear Taco Night shenanigans. I’m guessing some kind of sauce with capsaicin extract in it. That stuff sort of takes the joy out of spicy food, though. I want to taste the reason why I’m running to the bathroom.

I made nuclear fish tacos for Cinco Taco Tuesday de Mayo this year. Those kicked my butt and tasted awesome. Animal fat soaks up heat, so if you want to amp up the spiciness, a vegan faux-meat or fish taco filling is *chef’s kiss* for that.

Thanks for the tip!  I’m pretty sure that would kill me though.  I remember getting paid $8 in school to eat a taco with Dave’s insanity sauce on it.  I can’t even remember what the pepper blend was.  After the first bite my mouth was so numb it didn’t matter.  Spent the $8 on chocolate milk to put out the fire lol.
